A Context-Aware Middleware for Context Modeling and Reasoning: A Case-Study in Smart Cultural Spaces

The proliferation of smart things and the subsequent emergence Internet Things has motivated deployment intelligent spaces that provide automated services to users. Context-awareness refers ability system be aware virtual physical environment, allowing more efficient personalization. Context modeling reasoning are two important aspects context-aware computing, since they enable representation contextual data inference high-level, meaningful information. middleware systems integrate context reasoning, providing abstraction supporting heterogeneous streams. In this work, such a context-awareness is presented, which integrates proposed model based on adaptation combination most prominent categorization schemata. A hybrid procedure, combines multiple techniques, also integrated. was evaluated in real-case-scenario cultural space, supports preventive conservation. evaluation showed efficiently addressed both conceptual aspects, through means implementation performance.
